Manifold Scoring Rules

Tennis Math supports more than 10.000 scoring rule variations. The scoring rules editor allows you to construct any feasible scoring rule.

We distinguish four match types which are defined as follows:

Regular match

A common configuration with sets, games, and tie-break options:

  • Sets in match
  • Games in set
  • Deuce rule
  • Tie-break rule
  • Points in tie-break
  • Deciding set rule

Tie-break match

A match where each set is a tie-break:

  • Sets in match
  • Points in tie-break
  • Sudden death rule
  • Service rotation rule

Limited by games

Match has a fixed amount of games:

  • Games amount
  • Deuce rule

Limited by time

Match is limited by a fixed time span:

  • Time limit
  • Deuce rule

The Tracking Depth defines which aspects of game are relevant for tracking.

Tracking Depth presets

We provide four Depth presets to satisfy most needs:

Basic

Easily keep your match score with just two buttons. This one allows you to just keep the score and see some very basic stats.

Game aspects tracked:

  • Point result

Intermediate

Track service and point results.

Game aspects tracked:

  • Service result
  • Point result

Advanced

Additionally track forehand/backhand, net points, and shot types.

Game aspects tracked:

  • Service result
    • Return Winners
    • Return Errors
  • Point result
    • Winners and Errors
      • Unforced errors
    • Key Shot
      • Player positioning
      • Hand (FH/BH)

Freak
